I’m Yetunde Rodriguez, and I am an Artist, Designer, Printmaker and Educator. My main media is Fabric, and my favorite method is Block Printing/Stamping. I like to create Motifs and color combinations that make people happy.
Although Textiles and Patterns are my main love, I love all things creative. In my previous lives, I have been a soap and body products maker, jewelry designer, and woodworker. I also dabble in Interior Design, and I am a serial home re-arranger. I am also the blogger behind www.afromartha.com.
I am a trained Graphic Designer. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Hampton University (go pirates!). Besides fabric, I love to design logos and pretty much any other design related things.
When I am not dreaming up my next design project, I am usually hanging out with my husband and our 3 children, ranging in age from 10-15years old. Yes, life is pretty busy around here.
While working with my hands, I loooove listening to podcasts! I am usually listening to either a story podcast, or something to do with business and creativity. I do occasionally (rarely) watch Netflix (netflix originals are so good!). When I have to do something that requires focus, I fire up some Brazilian Jazz, or something in a language I don’t speak or understand.
The more I learn, the more I realize I don’t know, and the more I want to know. Knowledge is infinite.
